Terms of Service
Payment
Website & Blog Designs
We require a 50% deposit to reserve a spot on our schedule. The remaining balance is due before final installation of the website or blog. Payments may be made by snail mail check or credit card via our Pay Your Invoice page. If you decide to cancel the project, the 50% deposit is not refundable.
Other Projects & Services
A 50% deposit is required to reserve a spot on our schedule. The remaining balance is due before final files are released. If you decide to cancel the project, the 50% deposit is not refundable.
Website and Blog Design Revisions
Each website and blog design includes up to three revisions. After reviewing the first mockup, the client will submit specific written feedback. The client must use clear language and examples when possible, including every change that should be made. A second mockup will then be created based on the client’s feedback and the process will be the same with the third mockup.
Additionally, the client assumes responsibility for securing any fee-based plugins or stock art he/she requests.
Requested changes after the third mockup will be billed at an hourly rate.
Length of Project
Every project is unique with varying factors. We will give an estimate of completion time based on your needs. However, most projects should be completed within 2-4 weeks of starting if client feedback is timely and revisions aren’t excessive. Please let us know if you have a specific deadline for your project.
Communication
Email will be the primary means of communication, but sometimes a phone call is better. We request timely responses from the client so that extended delays in communication do not affect the timing of project completion.
Hosting
The acquisition and payment of hosting services are the responsibility of the client. Please discuss with us the hosting plan you intend on purchasing. We’ll be glad to recommend services we’ve worked with and believe to be appropriate for your needs. We do not recommend Yahoo! for hosting and will not install on Yahoo!
These hosting services should be purchased with information ready for us to use at the start of the project. Information such as hosting access, domain name registration, FTP access with usernames and passwords will be needed. We will keep this information confidential. Please verify all of the info before it is supplied to us.
Copyright
Copyright for all custom graphics is transferred to the client upon delivery and will be delivered in .jpeg, .png, or .pdf format.
Browser Compatibility
Your design will be tested for browser compatibility and will display properly on the latest versions of Firefox, Safari, and Chrome.
Mobile Responsive
Your site will be easily viewed and navigated from most major mobile devices including smartphones and tablets.
Portfolio
The client understands that a screenshot of their site will be added to our portfolio at DavidandSallie.com. Please inform us if you do not want your site linked through the portfolio.
We would kindly request a credit link at the bottom of your completed website, but do not require it.
